From the Field: Day 6: Managua, Nicaragua - Final Day

We were rewarded with a day of festivities and relaxation hosted by the Pellas family at one of their private island. At 8:30 a.m., the entire group piled onto buses wide awake and anticipating the day. The sound of their chatter unique in their dialect, speed, and pitch mixed together a sound of unison that hummed along with the air conditioner and engine.

Tuesday, Day 2 of our trip was spent touring both a public burn unit, Fernandez Velez Paiz Hospital, and a private burn unit, APROQUEN, as well as looking for partnership potential between local orphanages and our burn partners.
